For couples taking a romantic break, a romantic setting needs to essentially deliver amongst many other things, beautiful location, service, peace and privacy. Inclusive Holidays Africa attempts to round up some romantic getaways in Eastern Africa as detailed below

ol Donyo Lodge is a 20-bed lodge, perched on a hillside, with no two suites or villas the same. What is consistent is the attention to detail, the comfortable yet utterly luxurious d├ęcor and the tradition of greatness. Regarded as one of the most attractive lodges in East Africa, ol Donyo Lodge is a place to call home for as long as possible.
The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille is a collection of four private, full-service, fully staffed houses for the discerning few.   The Chief’s House has three double bedrooms, sitting and dining rooms, and kitchen. The sitting room has a charming open fire, as well as a plunge-pool on the outdoor deck.  The Sultan’s House has one enormous double bedroom, a huge sitting/dining room and a kitchen. The space of this house is such that it can be converted to a two bedroom house if you prefer. The Colonel’s House has two double bedrooms, sitting and dining rooms, and kitchen. Each bedroom has a dressing room and a sunken bath. The courtyard has a plunge-pool.  Finally, The Eyrie has one bedroom, a sitting and dining room with open fire and kitchen. It is seductively furnished and perfect for honeymooners

Saruni Samburu is a ‘design’ lodge located 7km north of Samburu National Reserve, in Kenya’s wild north. Surrounded by 240,000 acres of private wildlife conservancy, and perched on a spectacular viewpoint, its six villas, lounge, dining room and large swimming pool overlook several waterholes where the famous Samburu elephant, leopard, reticulated giraffe, Oryx and Grevy’s zebra gather to drink.

The Wild Place by the Sea
Each of the seven open-fronted Delta Dune cottages – built from driftwood and cooled by the ocean breezes – has a private view of this striking panorama, to be enjoyed from the veranda, sun-filled shower or enormous Swahili bed.
By day, guests race sand yachts, explore the shade-dappled creeks by kayak or simply settle into a hammock by the pool. In the evening, it’s time for a sunset river cruise, followed by cocktails and a candlelit dinner of freshly-caught seafood under the stars.

Luxury. Rejuvenation. Rusinga.
A private retreat in one of Africa’s most remote and historical corners, Rusinga Island, in the legendary Lake Victoria - the world’s second largest freshwater lake and destination of many intrepid 19th century explorers .
A place of infinite beauty to calm the mind and rejuvenate the body, Rusinga provides a welcome romantic break . Exuding an atmosphere of serene tranquility, Rusinga's manicured lawns stretch to Lake Victoria's edge.

Experience Romance in the Wild – Masai Mara
The luxurious lodge has only 7 elegant suites which are extremely spacious has stylish mahogany flooring with an open plan sleeping and living area, complete with fireplace. Comfortable seating is provided both is the living area and on the terrace so that the true tranquility of the lodge can be best appreciated.
The individual suites benefit from having a personal butler and the distance between each suite has been maximized to reduce any risk of noise disturbance that may be caused by other guests.

Private beach, barefoot luxury without a dress code

Like an incomparable jewel, The Funzi Keys nestles peacefully in the private white sands of its own peninsula.
